And so my Spanish adventure begins...

Today is January 9, 2013. A normal day to most, but the beginning of (what I hope to be) a (POSITIVE) life changing experience for me. Today is the day I travel to Spain! Of course, by the time I actually get to Spain it will be January 10, but still, this is huge! Having never ever ever been outside of the Continental US before, I am so incredibly, unbelievably excited and a wee bit (okay, okay A LOT) nervous. Honestly, I have no idea what to expect when I get to Spain. I've done research, talked to people who have been there, and read blogs of expats living in Spain, but I'm still totally clueless. I don't want to have any preconceived notions or expectations of what my stay will be like. I want to be surprised, and I want to love it. Is that too much to ask? I hope not! In the meantime, I have hours upon hours to kill. Wish me luck!
